The White House denies “clearly” any connection between Trump and Stormy Daniels
President Donald Trump Deems Any Liaison With Porn Actress Stormy Daniels Asserted Monday White House
Donald Trump denies “strongly and clearly” having sex with pornographic actress Stormy Daniels. In the wake of the long-awaited broadcast of the X star’s interview, the White House’s reaction was unequivocal.
“I would say that the president strongly, clearly and constantly denied” these accusations, Raj Shah, the deputy spokesman for the US executive, told reporters on Monday.
Mr. Trump, yet quick to attack his opponents, has never publicly commented on this affair.
It remains to understand why Michael Cohen, the personal advocate of Donald Trump, paid $ 130,000 to Stephanie Clifford, his real name, a few days before the 2016 presidential election, in exchange for his silence.
“We will have to ask Michael Cohen for details,” said Shah.
Sunday night, 22 million viewers followed the interview of the porn star, broadcast on the magazine “60 Minutes” on the channel CBS, a record audience for this program since an interview with the Obama couple in 2008.
Shortly after the release of these figures by CBS, the president enigmatically tweeted Monday morning: “So many + Fake News + have never been so many and fake. But in spite of everything, our country is doing very well!
During the interview, Stormy Daniels told reporter Anderson Cooper that she was threatened in 2011 by a stranger in a parking lot in Las Vegas while she was with her young daughter.
The actress had just given an interview to “In Touch” magazine, in which she claimed to have had sex with the real estate mogul in July 2006.
“Leave Trump alone, forget this story,” would have thrown the unknown. “She’s a very pretty little girl,” he would have said as he looked at Stormy Daniels’ child. “It would be a shame if something happens to his mother,” he added.
– No threat –
This allegation has also been swept aside by the White House. “The president does not think” that Stormy Daniels was threatened in 2011, assured Raj Shah Monday.
Michael Avenatti, the lawyer of Stormy Daniels, however, said Monday the many threats that receives from the beginning of this story his client, aged 39 years. “We have nothing for the moment that binds them to Mr. Cohen or Mr. Trump, let’s be clear, but she is really scared for her safety and that of her family,” he said on CBS.
Mr. Avenatti has already claimed to have evidence of the relationship between his client and the billionaire. Last week, he posted on Twitter a photo of a DVD in a safe, accompanied by the caption “If + a picture is worth 1000 words +, how many words is it worth ???”.
Asked Sunday night about the existence of any evidence (message, photo, video, etc.) that would attest to the veracity of his claims, Stormy Daniels declined to comment.
The actress filed a complaint earlier this month against the US president, to invalidate the confidentiality agreement signed with him in November 2016, on the grounds that the billionaire did not personally put his signature on the document.
